Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about AMYNO products, quality standards, ordering, and compliance.

Products & Research

Peptides are short chains of amino acids — the same building blocks that make up proteins. Synthetic research peptides are chemically produced versions used in laboratory settings to study biological processes including cell signalling, tissue repair, metabolic regulation, and endocrine function. AMYNO supplies these compounds exclusively for in vitro research purposes.

AMYNO peptides are manufactured to research-grade standards in GMP-certified facilities operating under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems. While they are not approved pharmaceutical products, the manufacturing and analytical standards applied are equivalent to those used in early-phase pharmaceutical development. Every batch is independently tested before release.

Purity is measured by reversed-phase HPLC and expressed as the percentage of the target peptide relative to all UV-detectable species. A result of ≥99% means that 99% or more of the compound is the intended peptide sequence with no significant related impurities, truncated sequences, or synthesis by-products detected above the HPLC detection threshold.

Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored at −20°C in a sealed container, away from light and moisture. Once reconstituted in solution, aliquot immediately and store at −80°C if not used within 24–48 hours. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Specific storage conditions for each compound are listed on the product page and included in the COA.

In lyophilised form, stored correctly at −20°C, most peptides maintain stability for 24–36 months from the synthesis date. The COA includes a recommended use-by date based on stability testing data for each batch. Reconstituted solutions should be used within 7 days when stored at +4°C, or aliquoted and stored at −80°C for longer periods.

Ordering & Shipping

AMYNO products are intended for purchase by qualified researchers, academic institutions, licensed laboratories, and pharmaceutical companies with a legitimate scientific research purpose. By placing an order, customers confirm they are purchasing for research use only and not for human or animal administration. We reserve the right to request institutional affiliation details for larger orders.

We currently ship within the European Union and selected European countries. All shipments comply with local import regulations for research chemicals. Customers outside the EU should verify local regulations regarding the import of synthetic peptides before ordering. We are not responsible for customs delays or seizures resulting from destination country regulations.

All compounds are shipped in UV-protective, airtight vials with tamper-evident seals. Temperature-sensitive compounds are packed with gel ice packs and insulated cold-chain packaging for standard transit times. Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 business days and delivered within 3–5 business days within the EU. Tracking information is sent by email upon dispatch.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and bank transfer (SEPA). All card payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. We do not store card details on our servers. Bank transfer payments typically require 1–2 business days to clear before dispatch.

Yes. We offer bulk pricing for quantities above standard catalogue sizes and institutional accounts for universities, research hospitals, and private laboratories. Please contact us directly at orders@amyno.eu with your requirements, institutional affiliation, and intended use. Bulk orders may require a formal research use declaration.

Quality & Documentation

A Certificate of Analysis is a document issued by an independent accredited analytical laboratory that certifies the identity, purity, and safety profile of a specific batch of compound. Every AMYNO COA documents six parameters: HPLC purity, mass spectrometry identity, peptide content (AAA), endotoxin levels (LAL assay), heavy metal content (ICP-MS), and total bioburden — all tested against European Pharmacopoeia limits.

Yes. All Certificates of Analysis are issued by ISO 17025-accredited third-party analytical laboratories. We do not use internal QC testing as the primary quality release mechanism. The name and accreditation number of the testing laboratory are printed on every COA.

The COA PDF is available directly on each product page under the "COA" tab. You can download it before or after purchase — no registration required. A digital copy is also included in your order confirmation email, linked to the specific batch number of the product you received.

No. AMYNO research peptides are not approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or any other regulatory authority as medicines, drugs, or medical devices. They are manufactured and supplied exclusively as research chemicals for in vitro scientific use. They may not be used in clinical trials or administered to humans or animals.
